Mentoring Experts
is currently the Head of Circular Innovation at Cariplo Factory, where he leads initiatives aimed at promoting circular economy models and sustainability.
Previously, he served as Innovation Manager at the same organization, contributing to open innovation projects and collaborating with startups, innovative SMEs, universities, and research centers.
In 2019, he co-authored an article titled “Customized servitization as an innovative approach
for renting service in the fashion industry,” published in the CERN IdeaSquare Journal of Experimental Innovation. Additionally, in 2017, he completed a thesis titled “The effect of erosion-suspension-deposition cycles on the structure of cohesive sediments flocs.”
His experience also includes organizing workshops and events focused on circular innovation, such as the Circular Economy Innovation Workshop 2022 in collaboration with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
Currently, he is involved in projects like “Circular Innovation For Healthcare,” an initiative that aims to define scalable and replicable best practices for managing water resources in hospital waste, at an international level.
Giovanni Bugnotto
is a Professor of Practice in Leadership, Sports & Events Business at SDA
Bocconi School of Management. He specializes in research and training that support decision-making processes linking human capital, strategy, and innovation, with a particular focus on the sports and entertainment sectors. His studies encompass ecosystem functioning, event impacts and legacies, athlete career development, and fostering a winning mindset in both sports and professional environments.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Università Bocconi, 1999.
Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Bologna, 2003.
Completed the International Teachers Program (ITP) at IMD in Lausanne, 2007.
Additional Contributions:
Developed a test measuring athletes' winning mindset, promoting Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect as models for sustainable behavior in professional contexts.
President of the Sport4Talent Foundation, a social project promoting sports as an educational tool for vulnerable children, especially in Taranto, his hometown.
Dino Ruta
is an Associate Professor & Distinguished Research Fellow of Digital Technology at Smith School of Business. Prior to joining Smith in 2016, he was Assistant Professor of IS at IESEG School of Management in France.
Shamel’s research examines the impact of information technology use on individuals and groups in work-related and health care settings. He is especially interested in the problematic and controversial aspects of IT use such as how it interrupts work and affects work performance. He also studies how the use of different healthcare information technologies affects patients' quality of care and behavioral and clinical outcomes.
Dr. Addas’ research has been published in top-tier journals such as MIS Quarterly, MIT Sloan Management Review, Journal of Management Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, and others. He has also presented his work at various academic conferences, including the Academy of Management, ICIS, AMCIS, HICSS, and ASAC. Shamel has won several teaching and research awards, including a 2010 Best Paper Award.
Dr. Addas completed his PhD at McGill University in 2013. He also holds an MBA from the John Molson School of Business and a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the American University in Cairo. Prior to joining academia, he held various industry positions such as Director of Production, Consultant, Customer Support Manager, Operations Analyst, and Production Planning Engineer.
